How Apptiller Launches works
Apptiller Launches ranks launches by the revenue they add, read from each product's own revenue account. No rank is for sale, and votes never decide one.
How revenue is read and ranked
- Apps connect RevenueCat; websites connect Stripe. Both are read-only connections the maker makes from their Apptiller account.
- A launch is verified when the connected account owns the product: for an app, its RevenueCat project includes the App Store app and that app has sold something in the last year.
- The rank is the revenue added in the launch period, net of refunds, as the revenue account reports it. Ties go to new paying customers.
- Growth compares the period's average week with the average week of the 4 weeks before. A product with nothing before is "New".
- Ranks are live during the period and become final 3 days after it closes, once late syncs and refunds are in. Before a top 3 is announced it is checked by hand for self-purchases and one-buyer spikes.
Thresholds
- No top 3 shows until a period has at least 8 verified launches. Until then launches are listed by revenue added.
- Weekly boards start once a week brings at least 25 verified launches. Until then launches roll up into a monthly board; the first is the founding month.
What's public
- Only what was added in the launch period: revenue added, growth, new paying customers and trials. Totals, MRR and all-time revenue are never shown.
- A maker can hide dollar amounts. The board then shows "Amount private" and growth; the rank still uses the verified amount.
- App Store Connect data never appears here. It can prove a maker owns an app ("Verified owner"), and its figures stay private to the maker.
- Launches without a connected revenue account are listed, not ranked: "Verified owner" when the maker proved ownership (an App Store Connect key or a TXT record on the domain), "Not verified" otherwise.
Free AI answers
Every launch gets a free check of whether ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Google's AI Overviews name it for the questions its buyers ask. The launch page shows a short summary of the first check; the maker sees every question, answer and cited page in Apptiller. We don't publish rankings of AI answers.
What paid slots buy, and don't
- Following: any signed-in visitor can follow a launch to get an email when its period opens and when its final place is set. It never changes a place.
- Featured slots and sponsors are labelled and kept out of the ranks. No payment buys a rank, an award, a verified figure or a badge.
- A launch's page links to its own website without nofollow once its maker proves they own it: verified revenue, an App Store Connect key, or a TXT record on the domain. For an app, the website is the developer website on its App Store listing. Other links out are nofollow. No payment buys or changes a link.
- Proven launches get a badge for their site. It is optional, and nothing depends on showing it.
Our own apps
Apps made by the Apptiller team (GPT Genius Lab, LLC) are verified the same way and shown with their numbers, labelled "Our app · not competing". They never take a place or an award.
Questions makers ask
How is Apptiller Launches different from Product Hunt?
Places on Apptiller Launches are never decided by votes. Each launch is ranked by the revenue it added during its launch period, read from the maker's own RevenueCat (apps) or Stripe (websites) account. Visitors can follow a launch to hear when it opens and how it finished.
Is launching free?
Yes. Launching is free, and a launch whose maker proves they own it gets a followed link to its own website. The 30 founding launches (November 16 to December 13, 2026) also get their AI answers checked every day of the month, and the first 10 proven ones get a month of the Solo plan free. Plans are optional and never affect a rank.
Do I need RevenueCat or Stripe?
Only to be ranked. Apps connect RevenueCat and websites connect Stripe, both read-only. Without one, a launch is listed but not ranked: "Verified owner" if the maker proved ownership, "Not verified" otherwise.
Is my revenue public?
Only what was added during the launch period: revenue added, growth, new paying customers and trials. Totals, MRR and all-time revenue are never shown, and a maker can hide dollar amounts while still being ranked.
Are the links to launched products followed?
Yes, once the maker proves they own the launch: by verified revenue, an App Store Connect key or a TXT record on the domain. Its page then links to the product's own website without nofollow (for an app, the developer website on its App Store listing), and the maker gets an optional badge. Unproven launches' links are nofollow. Apptiller Launches never sells followed links, and a paid featured slot changes no link.
When are ranks final?
Ranks are live during the period and final 3 days after it closes. No top 3 shows until a period has at least 8 verified launches.
